We grew some Gladiolus flowers in our rock garden and the Ruby-Throated Hummingbirds were all over those flowers. Virginia has usually 1 type of humming bird the Ruby-Throated Hummingbird. However from time to time a Rufous Hummingbird shows up around the coastal areas of Virginia.
